I second that emotion! Amby would be awesome.

ETA: I, on the other hand, would probably take at least one opportunity to abuse my power, but only if it would get me the right kind of attention.

I have noticed a series of threads moved from the Politics & Religion subforum recently that had no business being moved. I can only surmise that the organizer doing this is not familiar with politics or religion. Here are two examples today of erroneously moved threads

While an article regarding illegal immigration can be construed as either an general immigration news, if you read this thread, which was moved, it has a decidedly political nature to it.

We need orgaznizers who will appropriately move threads based on their logical place on the forum.

So here is the baseline thread moving guidelines.

In general if a topic already fits a forum in a general sense then it should not be moved. The division between forums is not clean in many cases so if people tried to nick pick then we would have a flurry of moved (and re-moved) threads.

For P&R the real intent was to take Off Topic "topics" that related to politics (government news, laws, political opinion/satire) and to give them a separate forum. I would say that if anything there would be a trend of more things getting moved here (versus out). If something has nothing to do with politics or religion (nor immigration or regional discussion) then OT is the right place.

Now what about the issue of him and finding buried threads that would have never seen the light of day and moving them and resurrecting them by moving. Can we get guidelines on that?
