Dear VJ members,

I heard from other people about the term "Administrative Processing" after their interviews at the embassy.

Some got their visas 3 days after the interview, while others waiting for months.

My question here What about who applying through DCF?

What should I expect after the second interview? wait for "AP", or in this case there will be no gaps between the interview & getting the visa?

Thank you

Why are you having two interviews?

Whether DCF helps will depend on the reason for AP- if the AP is for additional name/ security checks, as it often is with beneficiaries from your country, then DCF won't help. If it is to check on the bonafides of the relationship, then yes DCF might help because you living together for a time and the petitioner being willing to move abroad to do so goes a long way to proving you are truly a couple.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I applied for DCF from Cairo

1st interview was I-130 interview

Then they asked for medical, I-864, DS-230, police record, birth certificate, then I submitted all.

After that, they will call me for the visa interview.

That is the 2nd interview I meant.

My question is: after this 2nd interview, should I get the visa or wait for "AP"?

You are a male from Egypt, so I think AP is likely.

hi

i guess its very common in this embassy to send all males in an AP

even they r married to amricans or engaged to them or even they will have treatment there

i feel they r afraid to give the visa right away

they just give it right away to certain cases which looks so good.

the Question is..for how long the AP remains.? month? two month? less than that ? i did not have an answer for this question
