I don't think he is that bright. I watched him on two Sunday news shows. He is on message, though, I will give him that, but he doesn't have the intimidation of a David Axelrod, or a Rahm Emmanuel.

In 2008 his role was behind the scenes campaign strategy geek. He was good at it. This new role doesn't fit him well IMO.

This type of stuff will just feed the Trump fire.

Remembering how Trump took Rosie' personal insult and drove it back in her face in unheard of fashion.

He has already expanded the Birth movement with the simple question.... -who spends a fortune in legal fees to avoid making public the details of his birth?

Any Back-n-forth bicker between the White House and Trump would leave the WH at a huge disadvantage, which questions why Plouffe, started down this path.
