You know, what is it that does that though? Since it is evident that two (or more) very different people CAN coexist peacefully together (even married) despite racial/religious/political differences... At what point does everything blow up? And IS it necessarily so? Is there a limit to the number of people in any given group, before it degenerates into hatred? Is there a hate/love GENE? Does it HAVE to be this way? I demand some hard fukcing answers dude! lol

Well... if we look back... there were the crusades... that was a definately... "Your with us, or we kill you" type of campaign.

I'm with Welshie.... I gave up religion long ago. Seeing a bunch of Muslims in Kosovo, murdered and then shoved down into the village well by the Serbs (supposed Christians) to contaminate their water supply, because they praticed a different religion... I'm sorry, I personally can only buy into the whole "Free Will" and "Will be judge in the days to come" to a very small scale. Or how I'm suppose to worship some supposed loving and caring God, the same one that lets children be born with all kinds of diseases and birth defects.

I don't have a problem with someone being religious (I'd be in trouble down here in the bible belt of the south if I did lol)... but dont' expect me to share your beliefs or views.

On both sides. Had it not been for 300 years of Muslim invasions and oppression, there would have been no crusades. There once were vast Christian civilizations across North Africa and Asia Minor which were wiped out by Muslim aggression. On the other hand, the manner in which the Crusaders fought, particularly in making the crusades religious wars, placed them in direct violation of Jesus' words.

There's been fighting between Christians and Muslims in some African countries for a long long time, and each side uses an excuse to fight the other side. I'm really not surprised. Of course the christians who commit these acts are not following their belief, they are just doing whatever they want.

I have a wonderful life and try follow Jesus' teachings in the Bible as best as I can.

The bottom line its, there's nutcases in every race, creed, religion & non-religion. I've met jerky atheists, hippies, christians, insert ANY type of person here. If someone who said they liked coca cola went around killing people, that doesn't mean I'd say everyone who likes coca cola is dumb or that I'd give up drinking it. So while some are glad they got rid of their religious beliefs, etc, I'm very glad to be holding strong to mine.
