hey guys I applied for ITIN , ITIN number was assigned and also got a real big refund from IRS. Now my wife is not in the US , can any guys suggest me how to open a join account with my wife, so I can deposit the check in to the account. As the check is in joint name, I am not able to deposit that.

any positive suggestions will be appreciated

The only thing I could think of would be a remittance account. But, I think the check has to be endorsed by both parties, and that may be a problem. Can she send you a specific (limited) power of attorney to open an account in both names and allow you to endorse the check for her? You may have to talk to a bank to see what they advise.

If your bank knows you well then you can speak to the Bank Manager and see if they will let you cash the check in a single account.
