Thanks to this thread I dreamed last night that I was at a giant buffet of pies. There were all kinds of pies, but they kept serving other courses beforehand, which were all foods I don't eat like lamb and duck.

I just kept staring at the goddamm pie...

My deep desires for pie were sadly unfulfilled by the time the alarm went off at 4:30. :(

This dream immediately looks like the pie represents other desires, but I'm serious, I really think it was just about my desire for pie.

Apparently my 18 years in Canada were a sheltered life, because I had to google "saskatoon pie" to figure out what it was. Even now, I'm still not sure what a saskatoon berry is. That'll have to be googled next :P

Anyway, I looooove the frozen Butterfinger Creme Pie that you can get at Wal-Mart in the US for $5.00.

As for real pies...

1) Strawberry Rhubarb

2) Key Lime

3) Pumpkin

5) Coconut Creme

I'd much rather eat a pie than any other dessert, too... so this thread is making me want one!!

Strawberry-rhubarb would be my favorite, followed by warm apple pie, and key lime pie.

My chocolate-cherry and chocolate-strawberry tarts are also great.

saskatoons look a little like blueberries but saskatoons grow on bushes and they have a more stronger flavour then blueberries... I think saskatoons grow more in the prairies....
