G2 License.

Happy Sunday VJ Fam,

Just have a quick question about changing over your G2 license to a valid US license. When i get there with my G2 do i have to take the driving test again or can they just convert the license?

It depends on the state. IN Georgia it didn't matter what licence you had, you have to take the written and the driving test again

What state are you moving to? Check with the state DVM

Yeah it all depends on what state and office you go to. In maryland i traded in my g2 for a full license and only had ,my eyes checked no testing.

I am actually going to Minnesota and have not been able to find the info online. Will keep looking though.

Read: If you have a valid driver’s license from another U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana or Canada you must pass a knowledge (written) test about Minnesota driving laws and regulations

And Read:

YOU WILL NEED TO:

 Complete a Minnesota driver’s license application and provide your social security number

 Present one primary and one secondary form of identification. (See back)

 Present your driver’s license from your previous state, this will be invalidated and returned to you if the road test is waived

 Provide proof of passing the appropriate testing requirements

I was able to trade my in my G2 for a full license here in Colorado. I don't think most states make a distinction between the G2 and G, since they would actually need to have knowledge of the Ontario licensing system.
