After NOA 2

I have been doing lots of research and I was hoping if you could confirm if I got it right?

* After NOA2, I call NVC and I ask my MNL number

* I should track when the packet leaves the NVC

* The NVC will send a snail mail to my fiancee to let him know that the case is forwarded to the US Embassy in Manila

* US Embassy will contact me and from there I could schedule my medical and my interview

Want to clarify other things as well

* Police clearance refers to NBI, correct?

* Medical will be paid at St Lukes, Visa fee at BDO

Typically, how long is it from NOA2 to Interview?

Thanks in advance to everybody!

* After NOA2, I call NVC and I ask my MNL number Yes

* I should track when the packet leaves the NVC Your choice, tracking it just confirms when it is received @ USEM

* The NVC will send a snail mail to my fiancee to let him know that the case is forwarded to the US Embassy in Manila Yes

* US Embassy will contact me and from there I could schedule my medical and my interview MAYBE - Some get notified, some do not. My fiancee did not. Typical wisdom says assume you won't get notified, but to go ahead with the proper forms, paying visa fee, and going to SL's for exam. You can schedule your own interview online or by calling the USEM.

Want to clarify other things as well

* Police clearance refers to NBI, correct? Yes, but if you have been outside of the PI, you also need a clearance from other countries visited.

* Medical will be paid at St Lukes, Visa fee at BDO Yes

Typically, how long is it from NOA2 to Interview? That varies a lot. We COULD have been scheduled already (NOA2 was 24 Jan), but we have to be delayed. Others will chime in I'm sure. I would estimate 7-10 weeks.

In case you have not seen it, you can view all the requirements here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_001.pdf

Good Luck!
