Early Biometrics Walk-In in Saint Paul, MN?

Hi all,

Due to a family emergency (brother was in a serious accident) I will soon be departing the US for a month. I just received my NOA for biometrics which is scheduled for May 4th. I will still be overseas then. I am going to attempt an early walk-in this Thursday, and failing that, I will just hand in my NOA there along with a cover letter asking for rescheduling.

I am curious as to whether anyone here has had any success with early walk-ins at the USCIS building in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Thanks!

I would try doing the walk in at about 9:05 to 9:20 am. I write this because, the 8am people are there as they open. The 9am show up at 8am hoping to get done early. So the 8 and 9 people are there at the same time. Once they are done the next group is 10am. Most 10am will come 30 to 20 minutes early. That means on most days shortly after 9 it is a little slow. Some days no clients are in the waiting room. If they are nice about it, you stand a chance.

Hey, I'm curious. Can you travel outside the country while waiting for the approval of removal of condition? I just booked my flight to go home this decemeber. And I am not eligible to apply for the removal of condition til Sept'11. Can you still go outside the country while your application for removal is pending? Thanks!

Yes you can.

I will be leaving the US in a week for about a month. My Green card is set to expire while I am overseas. However, I have just recently filed my I-751 form and have received the NOA extending my Green Card for one year. So all I need to do is take that NOA with me, and show it at LAX when I reenter the country (along with my expired Green card).

You are fine to travel overseas while your ROC is pending. Just make sure that you have you NOA with you if you green card is going to expire while you're overseas.
