Depends. At JFK I would allow FOUR hours between filghts or I would be nervous as all get out. Not because it takes so long for a K-1 to go through POE, it doesn't, but even a citizen can be witing in line for 2-3 hours at JFK at certain times.

Tell me about it...last time I flew home from DR, I was waiting in line for about 1.5 hours on the citizens line! Let's not even talk about the resident and first time line!

I say give it more time than that...I'm sure you would rather have to wait around a bit for your next flight than the possibility of missing it. It really all depends on the terminal and the time of the day you fly, but it is best to be wayy too safe than miss the flight!

I always leave more time than that even when nothing interesting is going on, just a multi-hop flight that happens to be international. There's nothing like a delayed flight that makes you miss a connecting flight to just ruin your vacation. I try to leave at least 4 hours if possible.
