I have a question would a picture of me with my fiance's name tattooed on my chest count as evidence during her interview? I mean we have lots of picture and logs and other evidence but would the tattoo be taken into consideration as well?

Most people should go to interview dressed in business casual.10 minutes at the max for interview. You only have one chance to make a good impression. You don't blow it showing a lot of skin no matter how much you like this art form.

Im just asking that with all of our other evidence i.e. pictures of our engagement, pictures from our recent trip to london, boarding passes, phone logs, and our extensive chat logs, is it advisable to include a picture of the tattoo or will it be detrimental to the case?

Well I think that would be proof because who in their right mind would get a tattoo of someones name if that person didnt mean alot to them. Im taking pictures of my tattoo and my husbands tattoo with our names. I think any type of evidence no matter what (except X rated material) couldnt hurt your case.

Just my opinion.

In the case of the I-129F package I think all the evidence along with the supporting documentation together form a story and a general picture or your relationship.

I really don't think its normal for the beneficiary to call the petitioner into the interview and have him take his shirt off so they can see his tatoo. I think they look at the evidence that was sent in with the petition and paperwork, and interview her to see how sincere she is and whether they have a legitimate relationship.

Of course they do all the background checks and all but I'm skipping that here.

Actually I think if somebody really wanted to get into the U.S. I can see them getting a tatoo to make the relationship look real.

well then what is proof because chats, phone logs, pictures, videos, and anything people present can be doctored or arranged by that logic?

Hence the reason there is so much fraud and why they give leeway to the interviewers to make judgment calls..

Make a bulleted time-line of your relationship from the time you met to the interview... Include major events (visits, proposals, meetings family members, getting the tattoo) create the story of your relationship and for each bullet have any evidence that helps verify it.. For example: Visited May 29 to June 5 2009 --- then a photograph of your passport with the stamps of that visit or some other way to show you really did travel at that time.. The most important being photographs...At the end add a summary for each month showing the communication for that month (phone bills, logs of chats, emails, etc) I also put in a header for that month describing some of what we talked about (ie: during this month she started English classes, we collected documents for the NVC phase, planned my upcoming trip next month, and talked about her sisters upcoming wedding).. This shows some of the mundane elements of a relationship and shows that it is ongoing and growing) The final section should show any monetary support given over that time period as well.

When you are being interviewed they are going to ask themselves a few questions about the relationship.. The first being "are these two trying to commit fraud?" in other words, are the both of you in on the scam? They will then try to determine if the beneficiary is scamming on his/her own.. Anything that shows time/money/commitment should help your case.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

Showing a photo of the tatoo won't be detrimental, but it won't help (much) either. A photo of the two of you together would help much more!

All of it can and has been doctored and submitted... except videos which are not accepted. They want to see proof of a bona fide relationship and pictures with friends and family on different dates in different places is considered one of the primary things submitted and a notarized timeline of the relationship is often suggested as a way to explain the relationship to the CO...

Tattoos can be fake on skin and look real. Photos of tattoos can be faked too easily.

Also anyone can get anyones name tattooed on them don't have to know the person or it could of been another girl with the same name and it just worked out that way.

It wont hurt the case but wont help it really either.
