OK..so going by advice from here i've decided to file for my ROC as im leaving for UK in June and think it's best to get NOA1 extension before I leave.

My package is about 2inched thick!! Here is what I have so far..let me know what you think

Letter explaining circumstance

Table of Contents

I-751 with mailer that was sent when i recieved my CGC (it says they may be able to process you faster if you attach this)

Copy of divorce decree

IRS Tax Transcripts (2008-Present) I am thinking whether or not to send for my state tax transcripts. It takes 3-4 weeks to get back!Worth the wait??

Rental agreements (I dont have our 1st apartment lease as its lost but have evidence of living there.)

Photocopy of car insurance cards 2008-2010

Joint bank account statements (these are only checking though but shows both our payroll from employment going in.)Ive also attached my pay stub in accordance with the payroll on the statement to show proof that the employment is mine.)

Copyof medical insurance cards plus statements and also welcome letters to both andrew and I from our dentist.

Utility Statements (although Ive been told that this is not sufficient as anyone can be out on bills, it doesnt neccesarily show you live together.)

Vetrinary bills of both our animals showing ownership and our address

Photos, letter from our wedding photographer, various letters going to the same address.

Pay stub from current employment to show self-suffiency

I am trying to get ....

Golds gym joint account contract

Credit card statements (Joint)

State tax transcripts

Is this suffcient? I want to send it in now before my 90 day window but then I get scared s$##@*less that if I get denied then I have to go back a lot sooner then if i were to wait. Urgh....

Hope this is enough!

state transcripts really don't matter. if you can you could also get affidavits from friends. Here's a list I've been working on (but I haven't filed and don't until April next year):

o Copy IRS transcripts 2009, 2010 & 2011 showing joint filing

o Copy Car Insurance cards (showing joint names)

o Copy Wells Fargo joint account

o Copy First Trust & Savings joint account

o Copy Verizon cell phone bill (showing joint names)

o Electricity bills (showing joint names)

o Health Insurance showing joint names

o Copy Drivers licenses showing same address

o Photos from wedding & various occasions

This is my list of additional things if I do them before my ROC is due:

o Wills & Powers of Attorney showing each other as beneficiaries

o Flight records showing both travelled together

o Birth certificate of any children

o Lease/Mortgage agreement

o Affidavits from at least two (2) people who have know both of us since obtaining LPR

You can see that a lot of your evidence is much the same and it looks good to me. If you get an RFE then you can send more stuff off but at least you've got your NOA1 in hand before you leave :)

ok thanks!

Andrew said that he would write an avidavit. Do you think that will be good? I dont really want to ask his family. Not because it was a fradulent marriage but i know they arenthappy about the whole break up and I dont want to feel indebt to them.

I asked Andrew about copy of his life insurance. He checked and then emailed saying that he hadnt actually put me on there. He filled it out when he was a intern wrking at his employment before we got engaged and then forgot to change it. I have the emails he sent me stating this but if i dont add it in my package will this be a cause for concern? We also dont have wills or anything like that. Im only 26 and didnt even think to do things like that even though i know i should!

I also now have my 1st apartment lease agreement and golds gym joint membership

You look all good to me but like I said, even if you get RFE'd you can deal with it then but you still have the NOA1 and can travel... that's important :D

P.s...

I have emails from me and andrew sent to eachother regarding every day life eg can u pick up some takeaway onyour way back from work, love u' and also emails from friends and family to both of us or about both of us. These emails span over the years we were married.

Good to know i still have them regarding ROC but still very painful to sift thru. I cant wait till all this is over...

It looks VERY good to me. Good evidence. You can send it as is then provide anything extra at the interview. Sooner you file. Sooner you get the NOA1

Looks like plenty...

now see if you can reduce what you got

For bank and credit card accounts, there is no need to submit all statements. One in every 3-4 months is good enough. You can pick the statements that support other evidence (airplane ticket/hotel charges for joint travel or vet bills).

For utility bills, you can give two - first one and last one (last one usually shows up to a year of history anyway).

Do not wait for state tax returns, federal taxes are the ones that matter.

Also, no need to include your current payroll statements, as your current self-sufficiency is not questioned at ROC.

Joint gym membership would be nice to get.

Do not forget copies of front and back of your GC and copies of driver's licenses for both of you (showing the same address).

Good luck! (And don't fret, most waiver filers do get approved)

As for affidavits - if you feel badly about asking for it, you could save it for the last resort evidence, in case you get RFE. I submitted no affidavits (did not want to trouble anyone) and got approved.

Thank you for all of your replies and advice :) hha yes i might have to narrow it down lol. i just want as much evidence for my own worry!!!

I heard that some people get an interview and some dont. i hope i dont but ill just have to wait and see...

im going to try and match up utilite payments to bank statements. i wot be able to do it all as some of them came from a joint account we use to have but cant accesss now as its closed. i called asking for statements but all they could do was provide a letter saying andrew had an acccount to which i was on list for secondary use and the papers we signed for this. oh well at least its something.....

ps rika, how long did it take for you to get approved and did u have an interview?

Cca,

for me it took about 6 months with no RFE and no interview. Joint filers were approved in 2-3 months back then.

(see my siggy?)

And you filed the waiver right? Did you submitt pretty much the evidence I am?

I have matched up some utility bills however, when the amount was only say $17 for example, we would always just pay $20 to round it up so what it says on the bank statement isnt what its saying on the gas/utility bill. I hope ths is ok and dontthink i have just matched up some random utilites.

Im almost ready to send it in..just have a few other things i need to get/photocopy and print out. Im copying everythin im sending in case i get an interview and have to bring evidence. Im picking up my affidavit from a friend that new us as a couple soon. Does anyone know of any examples of this. My friend is unsure of what to write.

Thanks again!!
