USCIS address for Letter of intent

My fiance and I are putting the finishing touches on the K1 visa application and don't know what address to list for the USCIS service center on our letters of intent.. There is one about 25 miles from me here in South Portland, Maine but I called the USCIS help line and they told me to leave it blank and send the application to Texas where the USCIS would farm it out to the processing center of their choice at which time we would know what the USCIS service center would be.

This seems odd to me....why are they asking for it on the form if we won't know the correct service center location until AFTER we submit the Visa application and supporting documents?

Hi . As you said, we do not know which service center our application will go. So, in the letter of intent and cover letter, I wrote the same address where I filed the petition. The address of Texas. I don't think this is relevant if all K-1 applications go first to Texas. I sent my application just a few days ago but I have a friend who did the same way as me and everything was OK without any RFE in that matter. Good luck!

When we did our letter of intent, we addressed it to where I have to send it the whole package to.

Old I-129F instruction says to send it to:

California Service Center Filings

File Form I-129F with the California Service Center if you live in:

Mail your Form I-129F package to:

USCIS California Service Center

P.O. Box 10130

Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0130

Vermont Service Center Filings

File form I-129F with the Vermont Service Center if you live in:

However, new I-129F instructions says to file form I-129F at the USCIS Dallas Lockbox facility. So, if I were you, I would use the address below for your letter of intent.

Thanks for the input folks...Keep them coming! I just want this to go well...we are both good people with no health, financial or criminal issues so I don't want the paperwork to screw everything up.
