Hi everyone,

Although I have been following this forum for a while, but I haven't posted anything yet. The reason that I am posting this is to get some help and if anyone knows what I should do. My IR1 visa was approved and my case was sent to US consulate in Montreal. During the interview they asked me for some extra documents and they said that I should sent it before they issue me the visa. Later, I sent my passport and the documents, but there has been no correspondence from them for 10 weeks about my visa or passport. A few days ago, I received a letter which said due to lack of correspondence with US consulate in Montreal, they cancelled my visa. Even worse, they did not return my passport. I have the tracking number that they received the documents in both occasions. I also emailed them twice in the last few weeks, but no reply. I contacted the US Visa Service for Canada, but they said they cannot help, and I called NVC and they said they cannot assist either. So after trying to contact them a few times in different ways, they still said no correspondence from me. I don't know what to do. If anyone knows where to write or who to contact, preferably a visa unit manager or supervisor, I greatly appreciate it.

Contact your congress person - he/she should be able to contact Montreal on your behalf if you provide them with all the details. Someone else on VJ who has had to do this recently should be able to help.

I just saw your message in the other thread. Your help is greatly appreciated. I thought there was no fax to contact them, but with the numbers you gave me, hopefully the supervisor responds. Thanks again and God bless.
