Medical Exam in Manila - What to expect?

Timeline

My fiancee is nervous about the medical exam. She has never had pelvic exam. Can anyone tell me what the exam entails? What tests, what proceedures, etc.?

03/20/2006 - I-129F - Sent FedEX

03/28/2006 - NOA 1 (Receipt) - NOA issued from CSC

07/03/2006 - RFE (Receipt) - RFE Received

07/07/2006 - RFE and Waiver Request - RFE arrived at CSC

09/01/2006 - NOA2 - USCIS Email - Approved w/Waiver

09/22/2006 - Electronic Version - Manila - Embassy Received

12/13/2006 - Packet 4 Received via DHL

12/21/2007 - Medical St. Lukes

12/22/2006 - St. Luke's canceled medical in progress - required additional tests in Jan for upper respiratory congestion.

12/28/2006 - Interview Canceled because of congestion and cough during medical at St. Lukes

01/09/2007 - St. Luke's for 3 consecutive days of "sputum tests and finish medical"

01/10/2007 - St. Luke's for 3 consecutive days of "sputum tests and finish medical"

01/11/2007 - St. Luke's for 3 consecutive days of "sputum tests and finish medical"

01/12/2007 - St. Luke's for pulmonary exam - EVERYTHING CLEAR

01/15/2007 - St. Luke's for vaccinations and release of medical to USE

02/26/2007 - Interview APPROVED - 11+ months for K1 Visa

03/05/2007 - Visa in hand

03/05/2007 - CFO Completed

03/06/2007 - Arrived in Dallas

04/29/2007 - Married in Dallas

Greetings!

I hope this will help your fiancee.

Guidelines:

a.) First Day:

1. Verification of the US Embassy Packet by SLEC guards.

- This is the time you will show valid ID to the security guard.

May also show appointment letter if none thats okay.

( Ground Floor )

2. All applicants are asked to fill up the patient date sheet form.

- Have all information data from Spouse in one sheet to save

time. Ex. full name of partner , address in the states etc. as well

as your own information.

3. Submission of accomplished PDS form at the reception area where

encoding of date and digital picture-taking are also done.

note: number 1,2,3 are located at ground floor of the clinic.

4. Payment at the cashier in Philippine Currency

equivalent of 95$ in pesos. make sure you have cash and ready.

( 5th floor)

5. X-RAY Department.

( 3rd floor)

6. Laboratory test for blod/urine tests

( 4th floor)

7. U.S. Counter

( 5th floor)

8. vital signs, height and weight determinations, eye test

(5th floor)

9. Immunization History Interview

( 5th floor)

10. Medical Examination ( all applicants are asked to disrobed

completely) this is just fast.

11. check out counter

( second floor)

- checks completeness of medical report form

- addiotional instructions are given.

b. ) second day;

1. Guard counter-checks the applicant's name against the Master list

( ground floor)

2. a.) You go directly to counter A at the ground floor , If your X ray is

okay then youll wait till your name is called and may have

the shots for immunization ( second floor).

3. Releasing Section ( Ground Floor)

note: if X-ray is not clear additional chest x-ray views are required

If other results are not clear then( depending on the findings) and additnal instructions are given and scheduled accordingly.

TIPS:

1. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS, SO IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY THEN YOULL BE FINISH EARLY.

2. MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE VISITING THE CLINIC

- VALID ID. IF YOU HAVE A PASSPORT, MAKE SURE TO COPY THE

FRONT AND BACK PAGE AS THIS IS IMPORTANT TO BACK YOUR

IDENTITY WHEN YOU HAVE NO OTHER VALID ID DURING YOUR

INTERVIEW AT THE US EMBASSY. ( ORIGINAL PASSPORT WILL

BE COLLECTED AT THE CLINIC)

- AGAIN, A COPY OF YOUR FRONT AND BACK PAGE OF PASSPORT.

- 6 COPIES OF VISA PHOTOGRAPH

- PHILIPPINE PESO FEE EQUIVALENT OF 95$

- BALLPEN

- A PAPER WHERE YOU PUT ALL YOUR PERSONAL DETAIL AND YOUR PARTNERS AS WELL, SAVES TIME FOR YOU TO FILL UP FORMS.

4. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES.

5. MAKE SURE TO BRING ALL PERTINENT DOCUMENTS AND LEAVE

THE UNECESSARY BEHIND.

6. MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE OF VISA PCITURE (PASSPORT SZE) AND MUST ATLEAST HAVE 6 COPIES TO AVOID HIGH FEES FOR THE SERVICE AT THE AREA.

P.S. INCASE YOU WANTED TO GO WAY ADVANCE FOR YOUR MEDICAL YOU CAN DO THAT AND KNOWING NEW MANILA CASE NUMBER HELPS.
