Are any original documents needed at interview? Im just concerned because we only have one original marriage certificate and I have to send this to NVC... will they just send this to the embassy or will my husband be required to bring an original document with him as well?

yes, i believe they do need original documents at the interview. :) do you really need to send original to the nvc?

8.12.2013: RFE (lost documents)
8.29.2013: ROC Approved
9.19.2013: 10 year GC (in the mail)

N-400 (5 Years)

03.24.2016: Sent N-400 (USCIS received 03.25)

03.25.2016: Priority Date

04.07.2016: Received complete N-400 (missing a page)

04.08.2016: Payment was charged to CC

I think that he will be asked for an original one for the interview.

For CR-1 cases, the original you send to NVC will be forwarded to the Embassy. It is not required for you to bring another original to the interview.

When you send your original documents to NVC, be sure to also send an additional set of photocopies of these documents. Your original document will then be returned to you after the interview --- if they forget to offer you the document, simply remind them.

Bring copies of all docs that you send to NVC.

NVC will send the original, and certified copies to the interview, and they will be returned at the interview.

Nope :no:, not in CR-1/IR-1 cases where there is document processing at NVC.

You can ask another marriage certificate in order your hubby take it to the interview.
