We just recieved our NOA2. We filed Jan 26, and approved April 5, 2011. We expedited on medical and financial grounds. However, NOA2 states the petition was approved and sent to consulate. Does it not go through NVC?

Also, it is for four months, what happens if government shut down prevents it being completed in that time?

We sent our K1 petition on Jan 25. And it has been routed to Vermont Service Center for processing, but we havent received anything yet.

We are happy for you!. May God be with you all through your process.

All applications go to the NVC to get a new case number and then sent to your embassy. Start calling the NVC next week. Congrats :)

Another common topic,

Asked yesterday: http://www.visajourn...otice-question/

Standard boiler plate, USCIS is simply keeping the wording simple, they neglect to indicate it is being sent to NVC first, and NVC takes care of sending on to consulate.

Since there is no interaction between petitioner and beneficiary and the NVC, for all intents USCIS is sending it on to the consulate "through" NVC.

Moving this to K-1 status reports forum...

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
