I don't know why I even write here... Probably just because I can't think about anything else...

I feel very depressed lately, for about three days. I tried to make myself busy: exercising, cooking, laundry, cleaning, watching favorite movies, shoppingl, talking to my parents etc. Didn't work - it does not even distruct me from my zoned out status. It's not like I want to cry or feel miserable, no, I just want to stay home and lay in bed... I am at work now and do my job automatically ( in general I love my job). In general I am very upbeat person, but I feel basically nothing now, not good nor bad, I just want to fall asleep for weeks until I will start to care...

My therapist is out of town, so I can't consult with her what that is and what should I do.

I can't talk to my husband either - no contact order.

Maybe it will go away by itself.

I hope so

Classic depression symptoms. There are a variety of medications that can help. If your therapist is an MD then they can prescribe them. Otherwise, you should consult with a psychiatrist.

Probably you are right...

There might be other "medication" for me I think - my hubby:) I got an email from him tonight that was so heartwarming! Made me feel butterflies in my stomach, made me want to live and smile! Unfortunately I can't respond nor talk or see him yet...

Gosh, I hope it will be over in a month!((

My cousin was physically abused by a greencard holder. He was charged with domestic violence with three counts and spent over 6 months in jail. He is not being deported nor will he be.

That's interesting. Because there's a post on VJ where the GC holder husband is (or has by now) been deported because of the domestic violence charge. A detainer was put on him once he left court and he was put in immigration jail and ICE was going to deport him (it's an old thread so I assume he's gone now).

Yes it is interesting since she called ICE to inform them that she is infear of her life from this man.

It depends on what, exactly, he was charged with. ICE doesn't always move to deport someone who has been convicted, but CBP almost always denies them entry because the crime makes them inadmissible. DHS actually likes this approach because it's cheap, and doesn't involve any immigration courts. It's almost like a voluntary deportation.

Maybe someone can persuade this guy to take a little holiday outside the US...

Yea I figured he would be caught up by some technicality. He hasn't left in a long time so most likely it will be when he goes to renew his green card. Thanks for the info.

Hi Kizana

Thats awesome!!!!!!!!

I'm very glad that your case got dismissed. Would you mind sharing the name of your attorney? I've been charged with a DV case as well- PC 273.5. My court date for pre-trial is 7/4. I am in California and am very nervous. My case is exactly same as yours except the fact my husband called and not the neighbor.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Congratulations, si man! :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
