Given the context of the thread - I'm wondering why that picture is offensive.. Perhaps I'm not the only one wondering what the problem is here...

I mean... unless you agree with the position of the Iranian government - surely it isn't directed at you...

Well not really... the context in this thread seems to be pretty clear.

It seems you *want* to be offended.

This thread is 2 years old! I don't care about its context.

It is possible to be following more than one thread at a time and have something from one thread influence your statements on another. It's not like it doesn't happen on VJ every day! ;)

You might not care about the context - but to take umbridge at a picture that wasn't even directed to you, or in reply to one of your posts seems a little over-sensitive.

Was there a line of argument in the recents posts in this topic that detracts significantly from the OP topic to amount to an attack on all religious people? Short answer - no there was not.

Yet another direct assault on all religious ppl by insisting that anyone who has faith lacks the ability to think for themselves that we're not supposed to be offended by?

not unusual around here.

Funnily enough post something they are offended by then they kick and scream like mentally challenged children.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

#6 usually is. He also tends to have a real issue with the concept of opinion vs fact.
