But you can search through a larger set and be more selective on a search engine than at a social.

You pretty much summed it up that it is very much like speed dating.

FYI, Nordstrom is the department store famous for its shoes. Macy's has the big parade in NY on New Year's Day.

FYI, that big parade in NY is on Thanksgiving day.

I would say that is very true. Dating sites may have thousands or even tens of thousands of women to chose from where a social may have 50-300 women. I do think you can tell more about someone sitting face to face with the chance to spend more time with the ones you like so I can see some theoretical advantage to a tour. Plus you are there not sitting on a computer thousands of miles away. Of course for most of us here it is not important since most all of us have found our wifes or fiancees.

Although there are some "theoretical" advantages I have always recommended people to avoid the big agency tours. There is one good tour which is Jack Braggs First Dream tour, the rest are a long shot.

For the record, I met my wife through Elena's Models which is a site that I think is quite good and have always recommended.

Roger that.

I should have known that because Santa makes an appearance. He'd be a bit late on New Years Day.

He is actually a bit late by Thanskgiving. They should probably move the Thanksgiving parade to Labor day.

I met my wife through a friend that - his family moved here on a diversity visa from Russia - I started learning Russian from him, and then took some classes at my local University. So meeting someone was easy through someone who knows the person, OP stated that they had met someone - might be a good way for his friend to meet someone - less likely to be a scam and offers both parties support through the process.

I will say that I was dumb and tried 'dr*** mar*****' website (i won't put the name here, but you've probably seen it before). I signed up, but very strict things on my bio. And I got 10 messages 20 messages a day from women. I responded to each and every one with a personalized rejection letter that was at least a good page or two. The next day I do the same thing, and the day after that, an admin goes "please don't write to girls to reject them, only write to them to accept them." I assume it was a scam from that point, they probably hired someone to read the letters and write back. The rejections were quite light and did leave some openings for further emails, yet strangely nobody ever bothered to write again... anyway, you don't need those silly sites. Get on vk and make your profile, then join some groups and get to know people.

Russian cupid is decent and inexpensive. A lot, I mean a lot of scammers, but they are easy to comb through if you are smart. If the girl look too perfect r the picture look too professional beware. Other than that there are many other sites such as mypartnerforever, but these are very expensive. Ultimately a trip to Russia can be a cool experience and a sure way to meet a girl if he is bold and brave.

BTW, if they say they are currently living in Nigeria or Ghana once you start chatting run. lol
