affidavit of support - required before interview?

I was just reading another's post about how the available information (from USCIS, etc.) indicates that the affidavit of support isn't required until interview time. However, this poster says they asked for it in the middle of the process. Has this happened to anyone else? I got my NOA1 on March 3rd. Can I go ahead and send that in and have them update my file?

You have a K 1 case. The 134 isnt required until the interview stage. The support form is reviewed by the embassy not NVC for K 1s.

It is not USCIS that needs it, it is needed for the visa interview.

If you read somewhere needed in middle of process yes for some visa types (CR-1 IR-1 SPOUSE visas) it is requested by NVC around the middle of process.

K-1 has no processing an NVC, so the I-134 is brought to the interview.

Wouldn't prepare it quite yet.. you want it to be dated somewhat near you interview.. if you send it now, it could be several months old by the time your interview comes.
