I got a date for May 4th this morning. I kept refreshing my browser until it worked. At one point it had canceled my first appointment and my May 4th one as well, and it frustrated me! I managed to get the May 4th one back after refreshing over and over for a good 20 minutes. I'm glad I was able to get mine changed!!

Keep trying! Keep refreshing. I would go to "My Account" to start over each time. It honestly took a good 30 minutes each time to get through.

I think it is luck of the draw. Like if some one cancels an appointment and you happen to refresh your page at the same time then it will show an available appointment. I hope every one else gets as lucky as me. I was freaking out the first day I booked because the date is SO SOON! Im in crazy life organization mode now hahaha

Thats awesome that you got a date for May!! :). I just checked the site and it keeps saying that there are no appointments available. I know I can't book an appointment until I receive Packet 4, but I usually have no problem with seeing when the next available dates are :(. Weird o_O

Thats how it was for me too. Dont lose hope! When I got my interview it was totally unexpected. Im sure things will be cleared up soon. They are probably just really busy.

Hi Guys,

I was skimming through the forums and came across this thread. My Fiance and I are waiting on our Packet 4. I'm just wondering what you guys mean by there are no appointments available in Montreal. Are you talking about appointments sooner than the next available date (which can be in July or August at this point) or any appointments in general? Are they just not scheduling any interview appointments right now?

I already have mine scheduled on July 12, I just keep trying to reschedule for an earlier date. The first few times I tried a couple weeks ago, it would tell me when the next one was (usually later than mine) and if I wanted to accept it. Now, I haven't been able to see any appointments whatsoever, so I'm assuming they have no blocks available at the moment. I think it also depends on how many people are going into the interview and for what status. I'm IR-1.

So, I'm not quite sure if they are just not allowing people to *reschedule* or if there really isn't any appointments available to anyone right now. Hopefully I made sense!

In the week before the threatened Government Shutdown, I was checking appointment dates (for the fun of it), but that week, I started to get the message, "there are no appointments available for your trip purposes" and that persisted all the way through. The people who are getting this message are not able to see ANY available dates, or to book any appointments. It's very frustrating but we're all hoping for everyone that it's just an internet/program glitch that's getting fixed. Some members have been able to book dates after spending hours refreshing the page...

Thanks for the response guys. My fiance finally got his Packet 4 today and we tried to book an appointment. The response: "there are no appointments available for your trip purposes." :-( My fiance called CSC to ask for any answers, and they responded that Montreal is just not taking any appointments at this time and they have no answer as to when they will start taking appointments again. :-( this is so frustrating after waiting all these months to get to this point, now we don't even know if or when we'll get an interview date. I just can't understand :-(

My fiancee became eligible for appointment on April 8th. Just a couple of days after Montreal stopped taking appointments. We were very upset. I would try many times a day but a week later some appointments opened up for a few hours, and that's been about it. So I consider us extremely lucky to get an appointment for May. Just keep trying is all I can tell you. Best of luck and hang in there.

There's not much to do except to keep refreshing. Don't give up! They do eventually open up more appointments, and you can always reschedule for an earlier date if it shows up. So, as soon as a date comes up, grab it no matter how far away it is, so you at least have a "spot." Then keep refreshing, people do cancel their appointments. I rescheduled mine from August 22nd to August 11th but it was after weeks of refreshing!

Literally, just keep refreshing!! I spent hours every day for a few weeks doing nothing but refreshing over and over and over and I kept getting that same message. I constantly wondered if I was doing it right, was in the right place, etc. The day I got an interview, July 1st, I woke up at 6am and went right to my computer and spent an hour refreshing when suddenly, out of the blue, I didn't get that message...suddenly at 7am on a holiday I was able to book an appointment in August! It happens just like that and you never know when, so really, keep trying!
