Rfe tax questions help

On my rfe its asking for the recent federal income tax return filed to the irs, I am sending a tax transcript but not sure if that is good enough, what do u call that form u fill out when u file taxes is it 1040 or 1099, my joint sponsor is from california

the most recent tax return is 2010,the 1040 is the tax form, the 1099 is what get when you have a loan, or IRA,or banking,it's like a w-2,..if you send a tax transcrept you don't need the w-2 or the 1099's.but if you send the 1040 tax returns then you have to include the w-2 and 1099, better to send tax transcripts is right from theIRS.you can other it over the phone takes about two weeks, or they will fax it to you.you can get the years before 2010, you won't get the 2010 until you sumit your tax returns before april 18,then afer it is processed you can get the transcript,www.irs 1-800-829-1040
