Congratz! So they did it all in one day - when was your interview, morning?

Do you have to hang out at the Fairfax Court house or can you leave and come back in the afternoon? My interview will be scheduled soon I hope and I work close enough in an office. If my interview is early in the AM and the oath isn't till the afternoon, I might as well go back to work until then.

Hello there!

A belated congrats to obtaining your citizenship. :)

If you don't mind me asking, where were you when you applied for your N-400?

I was really hoping that you can please give me some advice. I started on another thread but it's been awhile and nobody has replied.

I am a green card holder, married to a US citizen who is now working abroad and thus, I think I am eligible for expeditious naturalization (319b). I have a few questions please.

1. My husband works for Saatchi & Saatchi, an advertising company. However, it is owned by Publicis Groupe from France, though they have headquarters in NYC. Would this company qualify? I am reading so many conflicting answers/opinions on this and is it true that it has be owned at least 51% by Americans? At the moment, my husband's company's HR is looking into this, though they are taking quite a bit of time in replying me. (I'm anxious because all the major holidays are coming up and that means my application might be delayed).

2. We are currently already in China. I had my fingerprints done last week at the Guangzhou US embassy. However, I was told that they no longer provide fingerprint cards (everything is done electronically) but they said to submit my N-400 application with my biometrics receipt to prove that I have done my fingerprints, and the immigration officer will check online. How accurate is this piece of info?

3. Which address should I put since we are already living in China in order for USCIS to contact me immediately. We still maintain a US residence though if USCIS try to call, I will not be there to take the call. Do they email? In China, address are mostly written in Chinese or there will be delays as understandably, most locals do not read the language.

4. What are the USCIS offices in US that offer same day oaths as well as fast process (passport as well) since I am already in China and do not want to be away from my daughter for long period of time. Would fairfax, Va or washington dc be a better choice?

5. I may have a slight problem putting in exact dates as i have been traveling in and out of US lots of times since 2007. Would it be a problem if my dates are not as accurate as in their system? I currently hold a re-entry permit, valid till November 2012.

Thank you very much and I really, really appreciate your help.

So the Fairfax field office has same day oath? That makes one out of 80, should compile a list of those offices that do. Ha, if the majority does same day oaths, take that information to your own field office and ask them why they prefer to be in the minority.
