I have a question with regards to my I-94 so in this small piece of paper that was left with me that they attached to my passport on my port of entry here in Seattle, it has my fiancee's information on it like Name, Last name, birth of date, and his citizenship. Is this really what it should looks like? I put all my information on the other half of this paper that the police officers in the airport took when I got here. They checked this piece of I-94 x3 and never said anything about this like if there I didn't do it right. Now I'm worried cause my friend is saying that it should be my name that should be in this piece of paper. If she is right, is there anyone that I can talk with to make this thing right? it's causing me anxiety right now, cause I'm confident that I did the right thing cause no one at the airport asked me to repeat the form. Pls...I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might have more luck in the AOS forum... I think most people on this thread are still on the actual K1 process...

Both the half parts have your information, longer piece of paper would have where you are going to stay etc, which they keep and attach a smaller piece to your passport.

This should have your information.

Maybe someone here can help you who had similar prob, never had anything to do with I-94.

It looks like this http://www.fso.arizona.edu/fso/deptman/9/i94.html

They keep the top (bigger) part and give you the bottom (small) part.

Why would you put your fiance's name on the form? It is for you. When you get a form that says "put your name on this" you think to put your fiance's name? In the future, write your name on forms that ask for your name. The numbers from top and bottom should match so it should be okay. Good luck.

Oh my God I'm screwed :( can some one here advice me what to do?????

I can think of two things to do. One is to file with USCIS for an I-94 replacement but the cost is over $300.00.

The other thing you might try first is to setup an INFOPASS appointment and ask them what to do. They will either say you need to get a new I-94 or not to worry about it.

To get a new I-94 try this link:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=e5d95d4c6608e010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

If the link does not work, go to USCIS.gov and click on forms. Then scroll down looking for the I-102. Click on the I-102 which is $330.

Good luck.

On the front of I-94 should be your name and date of birth and your country. On the back should be your Alien number and your fiancee name, Mine has all that but just his name.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

As I said in my previous post, the numbers are the same on top and bottom, so you should be okay. Include a note in your AOS and turn it in.

That's what it is. It is in YOUR passport.

Good job Harpa. I couldn't follow what she was explaining. The CBP often sorts out I-94s that are done incorrectly. Some go to the airport where they entered. If it was a stopover and the person is states away, it has been handled by the closest CBP office. The officer should have noticed the mismatched names and fixed it on the spot.

Here is a list of Passenger Service Managers at the POE airports. They specialize in customer service concerns for international travelers.

http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/ports/cbp_psml.xml

Call your POE on the list and ask for help sorting it out. Be sure they understand your name does not appear on your portion of the I-94, but it does appear on the part they kept.

They should have checked it right away if I filled it out incorrectly :( They had to check it 3 times and doesn't say anything about it so I thought I was good :( maybe I'll just call Seattle Tacoma Airport and tell them about this. I hope I can fix this on time. Thank you guys for responding. I really appreciate the help.

When I petition for my fiancee and I don't remember seeing my information on his I94. However, if you do have a mistake it can easily be corrected. At no Fee. No money. Nothing. You only need to go to USCIS.gov and fill out the Form I-102 and make a photocopy of your I-94. Send everything together at no cost. And they will corrected. But it might take a couple of weeks.

In the same web site on the Form I-102 you can read the instructions too on how to fill it out. And you can also confirm that you don't need to pay because it was their mistake. You would only need to pay if you damage or lose your I-94 which is what happened to my fiancee.

I agree they should have gotten it right when they made the notations on it, so should correct it for you at no expense to you. Having the wrong name on it means the Social Security office will have a problem with it and you may not be able to get the SSN until your green card.
