I'm not saying entertainers are not intelligent. It's not the fact that DT has made money, it's HOW he's made it that shows that he's not an 'idiot' as he's been called in this thread.

Re, the entertainment industry: It takes a little bit of smarts combined with luck and who you know, to be successful and have a long career. Madonna, as much as I loathe her, is a very intelligent woman. She's built her brand to epic proportions, and is still seen as an integral part of the entertainment industry, some 30 odd years after starting as a 'pop' star. But that's not what I'm talking about. People just having money doesn't display intelligence: Paris Hilton isn't a biochemist imo.

Madonna, TC, et al are a little different than Donald Trump, who's built an empire using strategy, and business acumen.

I don't really know why you're going down this route, are you disagreeing with the fact that DT is intelligent? Are you telling me that despite the fortune he's made, he's an imbecile? That you know better than he does?

I don't know if he really beieves it or not. His strategy it seems is to put enough doubt in peoples minds to sway the election. Apparently he thinks that Obama's base has enough stupid people in it that by drawing them away it will change the balance of the equation.

What I said was that he's made a fortune. The fact that he's made it via business deals and not by singing a little ditty, or being handed it by a rich parent really shouldn't have to be explained.
