Hi,

I am getting married in the US in August, travelling from the UK to San Francisco with United airlines. My brother will be attending with his two children, aged 5 and 8. However, he is divorced and both children are from his previous marriage. His former wife will not be present.

My question is, does he need any sort of permission from the mother of his children to enter the US with them? If so, what?

Please help, it would be awful if he and his children were refused entry.

My sister who travels to the US to visit me with her 2 childen often requires a letter from the children's father indicating that permission was given to leave the country and enter the US for x amount of days.

A letter from the mother is usefull if not necessarily asked for.

Good luck

Thank you. I will ensure he has a signed permission letter then just to be on the safe side.
