HOW TRUE IS THE AOS WEBSITE....

HEY ... VJ FAM.... 1ST N 4MOST I LIKE 2 SAY THANK U ALL 4 EVRYTHING... WERE ALMOST AT THE END... OK WELL A FEW DAYS AGO I WAS READIN SOME1S TOPIC ... IT SAID THEY WERE TRYIN 2 FIND A NXT WAY 2 CHECK THEIR CASE AT THE NVC .. SO THEY SAID U CAN GO 2 THE WEBSITE THAT U PAY UR AOS FEE ... LOGIN UR INFO ... IF IT SAY PAY AOS FEE ETC... THEN UR CASE IS NT DONE AT NVC... SO I DID THAT 2DAY .... I PUT IN MY INFO ..( CASE # N INVOICE # ) IT CAME BK UP N SAID ( SIGNED IN FAILED) OMG ... UR CASE IS NO LONGER WIT NVC ... BUT IM A LIL SCARED I DNT WANT 2 CALL NVC N HERE BAD NEWS........ CAN ANY1 TELL MI IF THEY KNW OF THIS OR DID IT 4 THEIR SELF.... PLZ ...

I'm not all too familiar with that process yet, but from reading all of the guides and comments from other VJ'ers, if you receive a SIF, that just means that your case at NVC has been completed. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

This is pretty strange, i too looked at the payment portal and it have me the same msg.. below is the exact msg i saw

Sign In Failed

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

But, when i call NVC automated phone number, i can still access my case status there.. So now i am very confused.. I logged in a few days ago and i could get to the payment portal (of course i had to use it to print the document cover sheet for Affidavit of Support and for DS-230)..

The payment portal says that it is not eligible of further processing at NVC, but in their automated phone msg, it says that they are waiting on my DS-230 (which they received last tuesday,i got that msg cause they had already got my AOS forms and were waiting to get the DS-230 form)

Anyway, if anybody can shed some light on this situation and what it means, i would be eternally grateful.

Yes, that's what we call the SIF, which virtually means that your case has been completed (it should say that on the AVR, as well).
