I have family coming for Easter. Then I'm going to drive back with them the following weekend because my cousins from England will be there. Yay!

I read online a few weeks back that Air Canada was cutting back flying into DC. I think they cut out the Ottawa to DC route.

I've been waiting for Porter Airlines to open up their T.O./DC route. They threatened to but nothing yet has materialized.

Hubby is from Victoria, but I'd never been - loved it!! So beautiful!!!

I love it there too! We'll be there the first week of August, visiting family. Can't wait!

Next week, to buy a car!

You're going to buy a car in Canada?

I always wish I live closer! Jealous of those people that live right across the border from their families :)

Porter airlines...TO to DC - good to know! I'm sure DC to Buffalo is still cheaper, but if my parents move up North, I'll be flying into Toronto a lot more.

it takes about 24 hours to drive to Canada from here but that is straight driving with no stops.. last time we drove it took us about 2 days

Think mapquest has it at 35 hrs driving from DC to Saskatoon!! I think my dog is going to hate me after this drive! I have driven from Winnipeg to DC, that was back in 2003, and wasn't too bad.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Interesting. It's like a hug. I think I need one of those!

Yep, the tightness of it is suppose to help relax them! My vet said it has worked for some of her other patients! And its only $36. I ordered it off of amazon, but u can order it from their site as well. Really not much to it, 1 could make their own very easily.
