Chicago District Office Processing Dates

I recently sent my AOS, EAD and AP out to the Chicago District Office and decided to have a look at processing dates.

I am floored...

AOS is at 11 months, AP is 6 months and EAD is 2 months.

Is this right??? I realize that most are just "ballpark" figures but I was a tad taken-aback at the almost one year wait for AOS & 6 months for AP. :(

You need to look at your district office.... the Chicago lockbox is just a processing center, once the initial processing has been done your case is forwarded to your local office for completion and interview....

Kezzie

Yes, plus take those processing dates with a large boulder of salt. My DO said they were processing cases from August 2005 when I filed, for example.

BTW - the processing date for AP is "May 11, 2006", and EAD is "June 11th, 2006". The EAD one at least seems close, I know people who submitted in early June who have been recieving their EAD approvals in the last week.

WOW I'm glad that I messed this one up. I just assumed since I submitted to chicago that it would be processed there.

Thanks for clearing that up for me
