It's sensationalist certainly, but if the US is funding Israel militarily then it can hardly wash it's hands of some of the responsibility for what Israel does with the money. There surely is some level of culpability by association.

I agree that there's some degree of culpability. However, the US is no better when it comes to killing children in Iraq or Afghanistan, so why sensationalize the aid to Israel as some sort of "blood money" when our tax dollars are doing much worse?

I personally think the US should stop funding Israel and other countries until we get our own fiscal house in order. Can't help anyone when you're broke.

attempting, however lamely, to justify the death of a child, or excuse the murderers as being "goaded" into doing so is nothing short of sociopathic.

as well, no one's saying israel doesn't already have enough money to murder as many people as they want. nevertheless, the checks signed by uncle sam keep coming their way, and keep getting cashed. military aid alone was 2.85 billion in 2010, and it was not the only aid sent. military aid is slated to go over 3 billion by 2013. flush with cash, but showing no signs of turning down money from any place stupid enough to keep the money flowing their way. har de fcuking har har @ joking about dead children though.

We have very different perspectives, obviously. But firing an anti-tank missile at a school bus is pretty clearly an act of terror. If the child who was severely injured dies, then it would be fair to say he was murdered. I see a lot of sociopathic belittling of what happened to him.

I wasn't making any sort of joke at the expense of Palestinian children killed. I have a great deal of sympathy for the parents of them as well, but it is very true Hamas uses civilians and their schools, houses, even mosques as staging areas, human shields etc then trots out civilian victims of Isreali military responses as 'murdered victims.' in my view they are victims of Hamas' coldblooded strategy.

Israel has been killing Palestinian, children, and men decades before Hamas even exists, so your theory is completely wrong.

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.

Yes of course, but we aren't discussing the long and sorded history of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. I was speaking specifically about Hamas so the theory holds up just fine. That there are or have been other Palestinian terrorist groups is beside the point.

And before you jump to more conclusions, I am aware Israeli's have committed acts of terror. I don't find Israel completely blameless for the perpetual conflict and bloodshed.

My comments refer to the OP, firing an anti-tank missile at a school bus. Definitely an act of terror, and inexcusable. And the military response from Israel, harsh but not an act of murder or terror.
