My co-sponsor is applying for a mortgage and thus has reserve money in her bank account. Because of this her balance is currently much higher that what she has reported elsewhere. Is it ok for her to use these balances as evidence for her I-134? Or should she try to get a bank balance minus the reserve for  the mortgage?

Check this previous post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/104955-i-134-affidavit-of-support-and-manila-embassy/

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3217.html

It says Form I-134 Affidavit of Support: The I-134 Affidavit of Support is required for returning residents (SB-1), fiancé(e)s or spouses of U.S. citizens (K1, K3), children of K1 and K3 applicants, and applicants with special immigrant status. A copy of the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040) should accompany the I-134. Faxed copies of the ITR are acceptable.

So, it did not say about co-sponsor.

However, for the I-864, co-sponsor was mentioned.

Cosponsor, K1 and Manila don't go together well, so don't count on having one accepted.

To answer your question though, if the income is sufficient, just leave the asset section blank, yes, really. If income ISN'T sufficient, I would find another sponsor but using the current bank balance and supporting it with a bank statement is exactly what TO do.

Thanks everyone! We're getting a co-sponsor with my fiance which is his mom because he's in his full time Master's Program right now. Although he has financial aid letter since he's in his Graduate Program, scholarship letter from his school and a savings account which exceeds him in poverty guidelines but we just want to have a back up by getting a co-sponsor. I hope they'll accept it. Im going to schedule my interview this week.
