Do they actually read the chatlogs that you bring while you wait to be interviewed and look at the other documents?

They read some of my husband's, that weren't part of our initial uscis package, right there in front of them. I sharpied out some personal things I didn't want read by anyone but him, and when they asked him about why they were crossed out, he stated exactly why, and the interviewer didn't make any issue out of it beyond that.

Just my advice to anybody going for interviews, bring chat logs...they apparently, IN SOME CASES, want to see the context of the communication between the couple....(I know this isn't for all, and some never get asked to see chat, some do. In our case, we believe it was the thing that put the CO on the side to deny)...see my posts in the "chat with the casa consulate" thread regarding what the CO said about chat logs. I think we are the EXACT proof of why you need to know why you are denied the first time, so you can counter those flags at the second interview. Just getting married is never a "slam dunk." (we knew this, but took our chances anyways) Apparently, their issues with us weren't resolved 15 months after the first denial, even though we thought we knew what they needed to see, and me visiting morocco 2 more times.

Let me tell you, the day of the denial, hubby and I were hysterical and irrational. Was horrendous. The next couple of days were ok, since we had a "plan" in place, to try to get him a second interview. Then the anger set in, and I was really not pleasant to be around the last few days. Today, I think the acceptance is sinking in, since the consulate has said the package has left for the US already, and my senator saying they won't make any more inquiries to the consulate because we need to wait for the file to get back to the US. Hubby is still in the angry phase. He is not ready to accept what has happened, and us being in these two different phases is not making for pleasant convo these past 2 days....but, he will soon accept it, and we can move onto our next course of action.

I'm bummed our outcome has scared some of you guys....just be as prepared as you can be, and stay calm!

hi tany...i dont know ur story in detail but could it have been that u married soon after the denial that made them doubtful of the relationship? (im not sure you did...just trying to make sense of it) and i wanted to thank you sharing ur experience (even if i dont know you) it has helped and i admire you positivity, i wish u the best in ur journey... someone told me one day that when u feel u lost everything, your freee to do anything! anyway i hope ur feeling better and something good comes from the sadness.

Wow...not having enough chat sessions seems an extreme reason for a denial. Real sorry to hear that. It sounds like the interview officer isn't up on modern times of people meeting on the internet and forming a long distance relationship! It is so hard to prove a bona-fide marriage when you live in different countries...seems like common sense to me. Don't give up on getting another interview. I'm a bit worried now myself..with the invention of Skype & cheap international calling plans who prefers to text/chat anymore!!??

Well, there is probably something else they see that we don't know yet....we are just waiting for the USCIS to get it back. Then we can go about defending our relationship again! LOL Good luck to you
