hello all i just have a quick question....

my friend and her husband have been trying to get his CR-1 visa since 2008.their first interview the husband admitted to trying marijuana once and got ban for 3yeard.with that ban he was also told he after the ban was expired "jan 11 2011 he will be able to file a wavier.they filed the wavier which seem to not have been picked up and after many calls to de post no real info was given about its where about which included the wavier fee and all the other info require. In march they received a letter from the embassy stating the "1 year ban has been lifted"strange because he was told and served 3years" and was given a new appointment date for visa pick up...my question has anyone every experienced this and what should they expect..her husband seem to be worrying his head off lmao...oh maybe i should add that since that time they now have a son ........

i forgot to add he has a previous overstay beyond 180 days

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
