***removed*** website is like that, all people on there posting about how to do it quick and illegally in many ways. I got thrown off that website because some guy met his wife here in the States, she came accross the border from Mexico illegally, and he was looking for ways to make her stay here. How an illegal alien can even legally get married here in the states is strange, but all I said was she needs to go back and do it the right way and I was attacked by him and other posters and moderators and my acct terminated there LOL.

Most people that aren't mature enough to wait in line aren't mature enough to be married, so for all their cheating and pushing their chances of long term survival are small.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I try not to respond to them asking questions because I'm usually too busy cursing while reading it :) Like you said I don't have to worry about my husband having a ban because we have always followed the rules even when it wasn't the easiest choice to make. We'll all get there in the end, I may however be sitting in a rocking chair 80 years old before it happens LOL

I agree with you 100% and most of the time wht I do is tell them bluntly they are dishonest and wht they are doing is illegal.

Yet there are some ppl on this forum who feel sorry for such sly folks and give them advice how to circumvent the system, that makes me more angry.

(eg. some regular member advice ppl not to tell certain thing to POE)

Also there are times, when I get labelled as heartless and too harsh.....lol.

I hate the wait like everyone else. I knew it too going in was going to be a long wait. My 2nd time also I am being scrutinized likes it some kind of fraud wanting to have a foreign spouse. Anyway I just hope we don't have a government shut down. The wait is already too long we surely don't need that. I am already losing my mind or lost it. Hehe. I am at the last stage of the NVC the suspense is killing me.

I second that!

I was talking to my wife about this the other day, how people try to find a way around this long process and even worse they ask about it on Visa Journey. I bet even people who are just after a greencard instead of truly coming to be with the person they love!

Maybe not everyone sees this process the way I do and that many of us do. In my case it was the first time leaving my country and family, this was the biggest step we were taking in our relationship! why would anyone want to start their lives on something illegal? or just the wrong way? I consider wrong even people who come on a K1 visa and start working right away even though they have been told it is illegal to work without a permit! YET THEY DO IT! .. I know life is hard and expensive but I believe laws and rules are established for a reason and they should be followed! and I know many of those who dont follow the rules, maybe they are not caught or anything but I think this is more about integrity and starting off with the right foot that just being lucky!... and believe me its been tough not being able to work for the last 4 months, even after getting job offers that I had to say no.. but if I have an interview I want to say proudly the truth and know in my heart that I have done everything right and start off my new life with the girl I love doing everything correctly! ... maybe people on this world think it is stupid and maybe I have missed chances to take "shortcuts" or earning some money! but Im sure God sees our hearts!

:)

It continues to amaze me that people come on a site that's for getting visa's and doing everything the correct way no matter how long it takes and asking questions about how to get around the rules. People are always on here looking for ways to cheat the system and how to get their spouse/significant other here without putting in the work and time it requires. I'm seriously annoyed by the fact that people are constantly doing this. NONE of us want to be apart from our partner and part of the reason all these rules and regulations are in place is because of the people trying to be sly. I've been apart from my husband for 2 years now...visits in between but not living the life we are envisioned because we are doing all of this immigration the correct way. This is my second time going through this...yes it was a choice but it doesn't making the time apart any easier. I would love for those people searching this site for a short cut to ####### off (to put it kindly). I'm sure plenty others feel the same way :) Discuss lol

I wish there was an easier way, I don't enjoy playing the waiting game, but at the end of the day, I guess that is the only way to play this game. As we aren't just doing this for us, but our girl too (she is already American Citizen - its just me). All I say, is that I hope it doesn't take 1 year, but we really have just filed, so now I sit back and enjoy the New Zealand winter.

Taking a shortcut and not follow the rules and guidelines is selfish and egocentric, but sometimes there is people that want things happening right now!!!!

For us this journey is all about waiting and growing together, we understand that the rules are not there to work against us but to keep everybody safe and on the straight and narrow...LOL.

We agree with jkminney and don't understand that people even lack the basic sociall skills and still come to this forum and ask all the WRONG questions.

Yes I understand that and there are other countries too as well as many fraudulant americans...but you cant generalize everybody...and your very out of line if you are implying my husband is playing a fraud game...I simply said that she knows what the process is about as she has been thru this once before with a k1 visa...

 I agree with you completely. And what a well phrased response to the obvious attack.

I have stated before in prior post, the reason we have problems with the immigration process is due to the fact that we have a problem with immigration in the U.S. Yes, I too get upset with persons attempting to cheat the system by asking obvious questions that allude that they want to bypass the system. However, for the most part it’s most likely not these people that have caused the massive “Red” tape in the USCIS process. According to the “Wikipedia, in 2008 the Center for Immigration Studies” estimated there were about 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. Now having 11 million people undocumented is not the entire crux of the matter. Having them become a public charge for the continuation of their stay, and compound this by adding their children on the public charge roles begins to weigh in on the already swollen welfare rolls. According to the “Federation for American Immigration Reform” organization, “In 2007, immigrant use of welfare programs (32.7 percent) was 69 percent higher than non-immigrants’ use (19.4 percent). Each year, state governments spend an estimated $11 billion to $22 billion to provide welfare to immigrants. Those programs include Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Child Care and Development Fund, reduced meal programs in school and public housing.” I personally doubt that they have all the true monetary figures on the illegal immigrants that are living in the U.S. In summary, it’s probably not the people attempting to get around the current policies that are the bulk of the immigration problem, but those that have been on the “public charge” roles for years. Thus, we are left with the sad realities and paying for the development in more than one avenue.

Most people want illegals booted out of the country ASAP. Why isn't it happening??? I work at a hospital and I can tell you many Americans could get healthcare if we weren't supplying it for free to all the illegals. Makes me sick. Then, we have Americans who come in with no health insurance and can barely get minimal care. Disgusting.

There's ways to cheat the system?

OOOOOOooooh, do tell.

The real problem is a system that can be cheated--it needs to be fixed. You'll never change people or their nature with a stern lecture. I don't like those Nigerian Scam emails, and I'm sure if I post something public about not liking them, it won't do any good other than make me feel better that I vented into the ether.

The part that gets me is when they ask a question that is obviously intended to get information about going around the system and they are told repeatedly they can't do that, they then try to convince everyone why they should be allowed to. Some people are so obviously jobbing the system and then try to convince posters here that they aren't and the red flags really aren't read flags (being married for 2 years and yet the husband and wife can't give the same answer about if the immigrant husband has ever met the under 18 year old children?) Finding ways to speed up your process is one thing and we all will use whatever shortcuts we can, but some of the immigration fraud that posters admit to here is just staggering.

See that's the problem... we worry about what others are doing.. if they are Smart enough and can get this done.. i say heck go for it.. i would. Immigration isnt a group effort.. it is a case by case basis.. it's US Immigration.. and every one for themselves. Surprised you have not noticed that.
