The best source of information for those applying for a K-1 Visa is the K-1 Interview Preparation Instructions on the Embassy website. It may answer many of the questions you have about the process in Manila.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3224.html

something that seems to be causing confusion with some members is scheduling the interview. Once your petition arrives at the Embassy, it can take a week for your MNL Case Numbwer to be entered into the system. once your MNL Case Number is in the system and you have paid the visa application fee, you can schedule the interview by calling or online.

if you schedule online, make sure you are using the K Visa Scheduling link on this webpage. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ScheduleanAppointment.html

and don't forget about the requirement to attend the CFO Seminar. you need the sticker in your passport to depart the Philippines.

best of luck to all on the home stretch of their visa journey.

Miss information will make life miserable for people trying to get their appointment scheduled. If you don't know, please don't post. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

DO NOT click on 'Schedule and Appointment' if you are scheduling a K-1 appointment. :crying:

DO click on 'K-Visa Appointment Scheduling' if you are scheduling a K-1 appointment.

If my creating this thread and what I've posted has caused any confusion, I apologize.

John, what misinformation did I post? you've implied I told members to click on the wrong link to schedule an interview. I posted use the K-Visa Scheduling link and you posted, DO click on 'K-Visa Appointment Scheduling' if you are scheduling a K-1 appointment. didn't we post the same information?

I'm asking myself the same question. I'm guessing that John expected to be linked straight to the K1- Appointment Scheduler.
