Our packet is currently in transit from NVC to Manila. Does anyone know when we are able to schedule the interview? Do we have to wait until she gets a letter in the postal mail or can we call the embassy and make the appointment as soon as the packet arrives in Manila. Any info you pass along would be appreciated.

The embassy will send the beneficiary a checklist, once those items are complete, then you schedule the interview. You can call the embassy to see what's on the checklist, so you can get an early jump on any items you haven't already begun to compile, but whether or not the embassy is willing to do that is embassy specific...it seems.

when the petition arrives in Manila, it usually takes about a week to be entered into the system. first you'll need to pay the visa appliction fee.

once your MNL Case number is in the system and you've paid the visa appliction fee, you can call or schedule the appointment online.
