when coming in on a k1 visa, myself and my fiancée were told our sealed k1 packet would be kept by customs until its joined with our spouse packet when we proceed with the next visa step wich is adjustment of status.. is this right? when we file for AOS, they will have the rest of the K1 info already on file? we didn't like that 7 months of medical exams, forms and interview information was taken from us by a customs agent. how do we find out info on this, or any other form questions we have for the AOS process? did everyone else have customs keep the K1 packet when arriving in the U.S?

Yes, it is protocol

You should have made copies of all the forms you have submitted since you started this process for you/fiance to review for the next step.

The medical was forwarded to USCIS after POE which is why a new one isn't required (within 1 year) for K-1s at AOS. You just have to hope they didn't lose it (as I've seen in some cases...)

You could have asked for (and maybe paid for) a copy from the facility back there where they did the medical.

I came with my fiance` on Feb, 11th '11

They took that as well except for the X-rays

so we just decided to play it safe, my now wife (married the 20th March)

took the PPPD and TD shots and skin test at the local health hospital (What a pain)

they only do this shots certain days a week.

then we discover this place wasn't in the USCIS approved Physicians

so i did the shots at the local public health.

then i had to pay for the approved USCIS physician location to make us the sealed envloped

be ready to spend about 250 If you're in Florida.

Hope this helps, i'm still filling forms to submit our AOS.

Thanks all...for your :help:
