Hi everyone!

I need some help, so I hope someone here have the answers for my questions. So my questions are:

*I'm from Brazil and for the instructions it says to just fill out the first part of the DS 230. So what do I do with the part 2? I guess the part 2 is not necessary to the interview, so should I take just the part 1 with me for the interview? Or do I need to take the part 2 in blank with me as well and do it there?

* If I need to do the part 2, and I already have Social Security Number should I request a new one?

*About the forms should I sign at home or there in the consulate?

*Do they keep the birth certificate at the interview or give you back after the interview is over?

* Girls that were an Au pair in USA. Au pair I believe are considered a kind of employment. I put Au pair as part of my list of employment because I believe it is. So am I right about it?

My interview is very soon, so I need an answer asap.

Thank you guys so much for helping me,

Part 2 has to do with immigrants (Example CR-1 IR-1) DS-156K serves as DS-230 pt2

No, if you have SSN, it is assigned for life, one less thing for you to do after coming to the USA.

Most can be signed now, however if the form has a line that says "DO NOT FILL OUT BELOW THIS LINE" then dont sign it. EX DS-156K

They give it back, make a copy for them to keep if they need one.

Yes on employment question.

Moving this to Embassy/Consulate forum...
