Please realize the information that I’m sharing relates to the (Biometrics) Dallas Application Support Office located at 7334 South Westmoreland Road. Yesterday, on April 5, 2011, my wife finally had her biometrics appointment! We arrived early at approximately 6:50 am. We were pleasantly surprised to discover we were the first participants to arrive at the Application Support Office. A line of about 20 people eventually formed between the hours of 7 am to 8 am. The office opened sharply at 8 am. It was a very simply process, have your appointment letter with you, proof of identification as listed on your biometrics appointment document, and then be seated and fill out a brief form. Once you have completed the form return it to the front desk. As stated previously, we were the first ones there so we were called upon first. They took my wife’s fingerprints, a photo, and then stamped her appointment document. That was it! Altogether we were there about 20 to 25 minutes. Prior to our biometrics I researched other post of members that shared information about the Dallas experience. As it related to the topic of “walk-ins,” in every case it was recommend that we do not attempt! However, I asked what I deemed a creditable source at the Dallas Westmoreland office. My question was had I attempted to come to the Westmoreland office before my actual biometrics appointment date, yet I had my appointment letter, would the office make an effort to process me within that day or turn me away. To paraphrase the source, they stated that it would be “ify,” but then after a short pause, acknowledged that that they are able to process most cases that attempt an early “walk-in” appointment. Had we been closer to Dallas, and known about the specifics surrounding the Westmoreland office, I personally would have attempted a walk-in. Hope this will help some of you out there. (Smile)
