Hi,

We sent in our AOS aplication on 4/12, they got it on 4/15 and we are still waiting for the NOA1 paper to arrive by mail. In checking on the case online, it has been updated almost daily since we sent it in. Hoping that the I131 gets approved quickly so that we can head back to Brazil in July / August... I don't think that should be a problem.

Hi everyone! I just joined since I noticed that there were people freaking out about not receiving an NOA. I just wanted you to know that I received my text/email NOAs after 33 days. I called them at 31 days and was told to wait another 15 days. So, the trick is to be patient. It can take 3 days, or it can take more than a month. Worrying will get you nowhere!

On another note, I need to leave the country on June 5th for work. Does anyone know how to expedite the Advanced Parole process? I've been told I should call them after I receive my biometrics appointment.

Filing I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

Day 01 - March 18th: Received by USCIS (Signed for by "CHYRA")

Day 33 - April 20th: Received 4 NOAs via text and email

Day 34 - April 21st: Checks cashed

Day 38 - April 25th: Received 4 NOAs in the mail

Day 41 - April 28th: Received Biometrics letter for May 13th

Day 42 - April 29th: Called to request expedited AP

Day 45 - May 2nd: Walked in for Bio at Buffalo, NY

Day 47 - May 4th: Expedite request for AP denied (email)

Day 49 - May 6th: Contacted Senator's office for help with AP expedite

Day 56 - May 13th: Senator's office contacted USCIS for AP expedite

Day 56 - May 13th: Received Initial AOS Interview Request! (set for June 13th)

Day 57 - May 14th: AP and EAD approved via email (notices mailed out on May 5th and May 11th resp.)

Day 57 - May 14th: AP+EAD combo card received in the mail!!

Day 87 - June 13th: AOS Interview! Approved and Card production ordered

Day 94 - June 20th: Card in hand!

Hi! from what I know, you make an infopass apt and explain your situation, and they will give you an emergency AP that's stamped on your passport or something. I could be wrong :)

Hi all :)

I received my first hardcopy NOA today, yay!

But when I checked my case status on USCIS website it cannot be found. I'll call USCIS tomorrow, but in the mean time, has anyone experienced similar situation?

Am really hoping for a smooth and quick AOS process, especially for EAD ( I have a job offer to start June 1), if anyone would like to share information regarding speeding the EAD process, would be much appreciated.

Good luck to all the April filers :D

It can take some time for a case to appear on USCIS website, it happens all the time. Nothing to worry about.

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

wow it's been exactly 2 weeks since they received our package and checked are still not cashed.

If you look at the March forum, there are people who waited 30-31 days to get a notice so I wouldn't worry yet :)
