Got notice for interview for Monday Aug 15th

no other info given. Where do they usually have these, at the same place as the biometrics?

That's great! Congrats! If you only got the email/text notification wait for the formal notice in the mail. It'll have the information about your interview, just like your appointment letter (Date, time, location, etc).

Wish you best of luck!

Hey guys, I have a question. I could probably search the rest of the forums but I know other people have been dealing with similar things recently too so thought it might be quicker to just ask it here. My husband's EAD card arrived a week or so ago, and he's already had some work offered through a friend. H's been told he needs to fill out his I-9, bring his I-766 (EAD card) and social security card on the first day. His social security card has the "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" across the front. This shouldn't be a problem, since his I-766 is the authorization, right? Am I correct in thinking he can't get a new SS card without this phrase until he receives his green card?

He's so eager to start work on Thursday, so I'd hate for anything to cause a snag!

If you look at the form I-9 and instructions for it: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf you will see that the form states that he needs to show a document(s) that establish his identity and employment authorization. There are 3 lists of documents that are accepted for that purpose. They are in LIST A, LIST B, and LIST C.

Documents in LIST A fulfill requirements of establishing identity and work autorization; documents of LIST B fulfill the requirements of establishing identity only, and documents of LIST C fulfill the requirements of work authorization only.

The EAD card is on LIST A, meaning it proves who you are and that you are authorized to work. Social security card is on list C. He has EAD and that is all he needs. He is not required to show SS card when he shows EAD.

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014
