Hello everyone, had my AOS interview on June 13th in Buffalo, NY. It was a very pleasant experience, the officer was very friendly and even had a very non-american sounding accent. There was another person in the back with a pen and pad writing something during our interview. He made us swear an oath, after which he verified some information on the forms. After that he asked some questions like "Where did you meet?", "Who proposed to whom?", "what was the ceremony like?". I showed him some photos from the ceremony and from before of my wife and I, and our families. Then he asked for some evidence of common property etc - we showed him our car title and bank statement with both our names on them. After that he told us that I am "approvable," which meant that I would know the decision by the end of the day and that I can expect the card in the mail in 3-10 days. He then went and copied the photos and documents I had showed him, returned, and that was it. All in all, a very relaxed experience. Two hours later I got an email and text saying card production ordered. All done - PHEW!

Just checked the tracking and confirmation number online for our RFE response that I mailed Tuesday (sent it priority with tracking) and was due to be delivered today... "missent." To the wrong STATE! It was addressed to the correct address (in Lees Summit, MO) and for some reason they delivered it to Atchison, KS. #######? The website says: "Your item was misrouted. The error has been corrected and every effort is being made to deliver it as soon as possible. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

NOT HELPFUL, USPS! Gah!

It could still be an expired form. Ask them to check the date on the top of the first page where it says "Expires: xx/xx/xxxx".

Well, I went to doctor, the forms are the most up to date ones, I looked at the copies they had. So the doctor was confused too..she read my RFE letter, looked over the form to see if she found any mistakes, but everything looked fine. So I said that I think USCIS lost my forms, and she said that must be it. So I'll come back there on Monday and she'll give me a new completed, signed, and sealed form. I hope that works...I think that if there was something wrong with some part of the form they would specify, like, "missing tuberculosis exam", or "missing MMR vaccine", right?

05/16/2011: Sent I-130, I-485, I-864, I-131 and I-756 to Chicago Lockbox facility via USPS Express Mail.

05/17/2011: (Day 1): Package received and signed by S BUSH.

05/23/2011: (Day 7): Email + text confirmation for all forms.

05/24/2011: (Day 8): Checks cashed. ($1490) Ouch!!

05/27/2011: (Day 11): NOA received in the mail for all 4 forms.

05/28/2011: (Day 12): Biometrics Appointment letter in mail. Scheduled for June 22nd!

06/03/2011: (Day 18): Email/text received RFE.

06/08/2011: (Day 23): Received RFE letter in mail. Asking for Medical Form, I-693! I sent it already with my application, but I guess they lost it! :/

06/21/2011: (Day 36): Sent RFE response. CS gave me another form I-693 completed and signed.

06/22/2011: (Day 37): RFE package received in Lee's Summit, MO.

06/22/2011: (Day 37): Biometrics done!

06/24/2011: (Day 39): Email/text RFE response received and under review.

07/07/2011: (Day 52): EAD/AP approved, card production ordered.

07/12/2011: (Day 57): Another text/email saying EAD card production ordered.

07/12/2011: (Day 57): Email/text interview appt date for August 16th!

Hopefully it will be there tomorrow so you can be at ease :)

Today I get this message on the USPS website:

"Expected Delivery Date: June 16, 2011

Class: Priority Mail®

Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™

Status: Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)

We attempted to deliver your item at 9:07 am on June 17, 2011 in LEES SUMMIT, MO 64002 and a notice was left because an authorized recipient was not available. You may arrange redelivery by visiting www.usps.com/redelivery or calling 800-ASK-USPS, or may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

The redelivery link is dead. What would you guys do in this situation? Wait and see, hope someone will pick it up? I wonder what time I should try and schedule a redelivery if I do.

Sorry to keep venting here, but this is doing my head in!

I called the USPS number and she said they'll try to redeliver in 5 days, and if they still aren't there, it will sit waiting to be picked up for 15 days, and then sent back to me. I have no idea if they'd go and pick it up. This is tremendously frustrating.

This is just not our month.
