Well so far my skin has not had any reactions with the skin test so my guess would be that I'm good to go on Friday. Now I need some advice.. Send it on Friday via Priority mail? or express mail? I'm worried about express mail because I don't know if they receive stuff on Saturdays.. so priority mail is better right?

And to those who've had RFEs, how did you send in your packet? Did you make a cover letter or not?

Yes we sent a cover letter with it. We did it in the same format as our original cover letter and DH signed it at the bottom. Good luck!

Unfortunately, everything stops. EAD is dependent on your eligibility to adjust status, and so if you have an RFE, you aren't eligible. Once you send it back everything should resume though :)

thanks for replying. VJ timeline suggested that i might get the EAD in 2 weeks and i really hate to think that this RFE will push it back to one more month. :( I guess i just have to wait and see.

Here is an update on my case.

We hadn't heard anything for 30 days, called on Fri May 20 and was told they needed 30+1 days. We waited until Monday the 23rd after the mailman came and nothing.

So we called the 800 # and spoke to a CSR, informed him that it had been over 30 days since we mailed it out and nothing. They took our info and we headed out on a road trip (moving to Boston from Las Vegas so the SO can start school).

On the 23rd at around 11:30 pm she got an email stating that her case was processed and we got 3 tracking numbers.

So, now we have to wait until next Tuesday when we sign the lease to our new apartment to update the mailing address with USCIS so we can receive NOA1.

Her i-94 expires mid June. Do we have to do anything about that?

USCIS

Nov 04, 2010 - Sent out i-129f

Nov 10, 2010 - Packet received

Nov 11, 2010 - NOA1

Jul 11, 2011 - Work Authorization received

Jul 13, 2011 - Received notice for interview Aug 15

Aug 15, 2011 - Approved! FINALLY DONE! (for now)

Oct 03, 2011 - Finally got the damn GC, except they put issue date 2007, expiration 2009 instead of issue 2011 expiration 2013. Rather than reissue the damn thing, they sent an i-90 form to complete and request a new one! Why?

Totally not AOS related but I just found out that I got a scholarship (partial not full) for grad school and I'm so happy!!! It will help a lot! Now if only my GC would come, everything will be perfect..

I hope everyone has been doing okay.. I'll update the thread soon since I see so many new updates!

I am glad people are getting approvals and interview dates.. Makes me feel good that things are moving along.

And hopefully those who got RFE's can catch up now too :)

Well you've done your biometrics and sent your RFE back so once they review it you should be good to go.. I'm not sure how long they take to review RFE's but you mailed yours a week before I did so I think you'd be hearing from them before me. Goodluck and hope you get some good news soon :)
