We did our biometrics walk in today. I was slightly worried they would say something about us being scheduled for a later date but they didn't. :)

And hopefully we'll be sending off our RFE response this week, I am just waiting on my dad to get me his additional tax documents.

Well, I checked my case status today and it says we got an RFE!! Ughhh... Wonder what its for? Anyway I was a little bummed because VJ timeline estimates that my EAD would have been approved next week. Bummer! :( Hopefully its something easy and we can accomplish it in a day or something. I'm a little worried because my hubby will be away from June 4th till the 18th so I hope the RFE gets mailed soon while he's still here or else I wouldn't have someone to drive me anywhere. I'll let you guys know what it is when it comes.. I'm happy though that at least it was touched coz it's been a while

I'm guessing they either lost my medical or its something about the I-864 because my hubby's first time to file was this year so we wrote zero for the previous years because he was a student and not earning.. Don't know if that was the right thing to do or not.. I guess I'll be proactive and start calling the Civil surgeons in the area and ask how much their medical is JUST IN CASE they did lose it which hopefully they didn't!

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it isn't the medical but if it is, can you get a copy from the hospital from your country?

It could be I-864 because you wrote zero. Did he explain that he didn't work in 2008 and 2009 and therefore didn't have to file taxes?

We wrote that he was a student so maybe that was wrong? We'll see. I doubt I can get a medical from the Philippines, and it might take too long, so if that was the case I'd rather just repeat it. Would anyone know if mail gets sent on holidays?

Oh I see. Well I guess you will have to wait to receive RFE in the mail to see what exactly they want from you. I hope it's nothing big. No, mail doesn't get sent on holidays.

It's okay Monday is the only holiday anyway.. I already called the civil surgeons in the area so I know where to go if ever.. And his dad has all the previous years taxes where he was a dependent in case its needed.. so whatever it is, it should hopefully be an easy fix. On the bright side, they looked at my file exactly ONE month after being transferred, and if nothing had been wrong, it would have been approved yesterday.. WHICH MEANS to those who were transferred to CSC, you could be approved a month after it got transferred!! Hopefully once we send the RFE response we can get an approval right away :)

I'm sorry to hear about the RFE. That really sucks big time! I sure hope the RFE is no biggie and is easy to take care of. I guess the tax thing is easier to deal with than the stupid medical (not just the civil surgeon but your original "medical" file that came along with your K1- I've read here that they sometimes get lost upon POE).

But yeah, your theory on them processing the applicant's papers one month after being transferred to CSC seems to be pretty accurate. My wife's AOS application was approved a month after being transferred.

Another update on our case, my wife got her welcome letter yesterday and earlier today she got her Conditional Green Card in the mail! We're USCIS free for 21 months!

Goodluck with the RFE! I sure hope you get it in the mail right away so you'll figure out what they want from you.
