Case in point, they transfered my case!. I'd had to wait another week or two for it to be transfered if I had my biometrics done today.

Not necessarily. My case was transfered last week and I haven't had my biometrics yet.

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014

Walking in definitely sped up my process. My original appointment was for 5/13. I walked in on 5/2, received my EAD+AP combo card on 5/14. Sadly enough, the woman who took my biometrics told me I was hurting my application by coming in early. I didn't believe her then, and now I have reason to not believe her now.

Filing I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

Day 01 - March 18th: Received by USCIS (Signed for by "CHYRA")

Day 33 - April 20th: Received 4 NOAs via text and email

Day 34 - April 21st: Checks cashed

Day 38 - April 25th: Received 4 NOAs in the mail

Day 41 - April 28th: Received Biometrics letter for May 13th

Day 42 - April 29th: Called to request expedited AP

Day 45 - May 2nd: Walked in for Bio at Buffalo, NY

Day 47 - May 4th: Expedite request for AP denied (email)

Day 49 - May 6th: Contacted Senator's office for help with AP expedite

Day 56 - May 13th: Senator's office contacted USCIS for AP expedite

Day 56 - May 13th: Received Initial AOS Interview Request! (set for June 13th)

Day 57 - May 14th: AP and EAD approved via email (notices mailed out on May 5th and May 11th resp.)

Day 57 - May 14th: AP+EAD combo card received in the mail!!

Day 87 - June 13th: AOS Interview! Approved and Card production ordered

Day 94 - June 20th: Card in hand!

I am a little frustrated though because my EAD/AP hasn't been touched since 4/9.. its already 5/16! lol.. It doesn't really matter for me though since I don't plan to work (I'm going to grad school this fall) so I'm more anxious about the GC. Hope we hear good news soon!!! I know we all just want to get on with our lives, so I'm excited for all of us to get our GCs. :)

Looking at March filers' timelines it takes about 2 months for EAD/AP approval so I think yours should come in a few weeks. Sometimes GC even comes before EAD/AP and we all know that USCIS online updates aren't the most reliable thing so no reason to worry about it not being updated. :)

I get you, any news is definitely exciting!!! :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thanks, Missicy! I sure hope so! The VJ Timeline says my EAD/AP will get approved sometime on the 1st week of June or something, which would be cool.. To be honest, I don't know whether to prefer to be transferred to CSC or not, because as much as its cool not to have an interview, having an interview date kind of gives you the idea of when you'll have your GC. Whereas if yours gets transferred to CSC, who knows when they'll approve it? Lol :)

My I485 was transferring to CSC. Is it a good or bad news ? Does it mean I will get my Green Card without interview ?

Hi Drogbi are you an April filer?

Well its good because it means they are at least working on it.. there is no guarantee that there will be an interview or not.. although chances are I would say no. There have been cases though where it gets transferred back to the local USCIS office.. So at this point its just a waiting game.. :) Goodluck!!!

I'm sure it's fine, some people have waited 30days to get the NOA1.. Since you are in Guam, do you still file at Chicago?

Hello!

Where you at here in Guam? I'm from Mangilao. Please wait some more, it really takes a while for the mail to get here, a week time is a bit fast already. Hang in there, you'll get your NOA1 soon. :)

We got an RFE on our I-485 :( I am pretty sure it's for the medical stuff since we took the chance and didn't go to a new civil surgeon when we got to the US.

This isn't going to have any affect on the EAD / AP correct?
