This website has been absolutely invaluable to my partner and me since we began the K-1 process in April 2010. But I just joined as a member because I'm stressing out big time over my AOS application!

FedExed the AOS packet on April 29 (K-1 visa expiry date, but we got married on March 3), which was received in Chicago on May 2. I sent in the e-mail/text notification forms, but I've yet to receive any notification and the check hasn't been cashed either. It's been 10 working days, and this seems a bit irregular? Now quaking like a leaf in my chair and trying not to panic...

I wouldn't worry yet! There are people who have waited more than 30 days for NOA. If it doesn't come in 30 days, you should call USCIS. I'm sure it's on its way though!

Allright, major update folks. Received my "Request for applicant to appear for initial interview" notice yesterday in the mail. Also, at 5 AM this morning, I received two emails saying my EAD and AP were approved. Notices were mailed out on May 5th and May 11th respectively. I don't know why they didn't update me via text/email on those days. The online tracking system shows "touches" on EAD and AP on May 14th. They have people working at 5 AM??? I think yesterday's emails may have something to do with me contacting my senator with a request to help with my AP expedite. Her office contacted USCIS yesterday. Oh the bureaucracy!

Filing I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131

Day 01 - March 18th: Received by USCIS (Signed for by "CHYRA")

Day 33 - April 20th: Received 4 NOAs via text and email

Day 34 - April 21st: Checks cashed

Day 38 - April 25th: Received 4 NOAs in the mail

Day 41 - April 28th: Received Biometrics letter for May 13th

Day 42 - April 29th: Called to request expedited AP

Day 45 - May 2nd: Walked in for Bio at Buffalo, NY

Day 47 - May 4th: Expedite request for AP denied (email)

Day 49 - May 6th: Contacted Senator's office for help with AP expedite

Day 56 - May 13th: Senator's office contacted USCIS for AP expedite

Day 56 - May 13th: Received Initial AOS Interview Request! (set for June 13th)

Day 57 - May 14th: AP and EAD approved via email (notices mailed out on May 5th and May 11th resp.)

Day 57 - May 14th: AP+EAD combo card received in the mail!!

Day 87 - June 13th: AOS Interview! Approved and Card production ordered

Congrats!! When is your interview?

I also got a text this morning at 6. Case touched today, but when I check status it says that my case was transfered on may 9th. So I think the system is updated automatically at certain hours and with a little delay sometimes. So no, I don't think they have people working at 5. They don't manually write texts/emails lol.

Glad to see that things are finally in motion, though!

I see you received your NOAs one month after USCIS received your documents. Looks like I may be joining the 30-Day Club...

Also, thanks for the vote of confidence, missicy! :)

Ok, got a hardcopy in the mail today and it says my case has been transfered to CSC! That explains the transfer but I don't know why my case status on USCIS website says transfered to MSC. Anyway, I hope that means no interview! :)
