Today I got biometrics letter (appointment date 5/31) at New York office (W. Houston).

Does anybody know if the walk-in at that office is allowed? If it is, should I walk-in? or call to reschedule first?

Received an email from USCIS Re: Expedited Request Service, wow, it really worked! Hoping an approval without interview!

Good luck everyone! :)

It will be transferred. I had my case expedited too and they transferred me. I didn't get an email, instead a letter in the mail regarding my expedite request. :)

I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I don't know much about that local office but I would say try only if its not that far from you guys. It can't hurt to try, though I'm not sure how much doing a walk-in really helps in terms of speeding up the process. The reason we did a walk-in was because I was pretty confident they would let us since my hubby had military training the week of my supposed biometrics, so we had an excuse. Thankfully, they just let us in without even asking

Well so far I honestly think the April filers are doing great. The good news is that I have seen that there are already some approvals with the March filers so we can't be that far behind I would think. Hang in there! Goodluck to all and please continue updating us!

Thank you for your advice! The office is fairly close from where I live, so I might try.... I am still not sure if I should or not.

For the walk-in, did you use Infopass?

Nope just go. Bring your appointment letter and passport and ask if you can do it earlier, and they will either say yes or no.. :)
