I think the choice is very clear: Consolemaster for president <----from this thread

On Anna Nicole Smith:

"The news station has nothing better to do than cover Anna Nicole Smith. So, she made lots of money and slept with a lot of guys. Did you win the noble prize?"

(date='Feb 20 2007, 08:48 PM' post='736148')

On the rule of law:

"This is the problem with laws like that is that it includes all people. Convicted criminals, and good civilians carries the same weight. Such irony."

(date='Feb 21 2007, 04:05 PM' post='737665')

On preparing for fiancee's arrival:

"When she comes here, I will bring her out to do laundry! [...] This will make her feel relieve at the sight that she does not have to do laundry physically by hand because it's cheap enough to goto a laundry mat."

(date='Feb 22 2007, 11:18 AM' post='739109')

"When my wife comes, I have to make sure she doesn't do anything heavy duty until she gets medical coverage."

(date='Mar 21 2007, 07:40 PM' post='792315')

On Iraq war:

"Making assumptions is what kills people.

It's like, I don't know you or saying I think you're bad so I'll kill you."

(date='Feb 22 2007, 08:06 PM' post='740316')

"There's no war. The original idea was WMD hiding in IRAQ. Unfortunately, nothing was found. Now, the country is wrecked. I wish they would've done the same thing in Cambodia instead of dropping bombs secretively under the Nixon administration where they would keep soldiers there until the country is stable."

(date='Mar 20 2007, 08:31 PM' post='789944')

On becoming a naturalized citizen:

"I didn't experience myself being treated differently at all compared to regular citizens. And, I'm Cambodian. Different skin color, and everything. Yet, they treat me as I am a US Citizen. Weird."

(date='Feb 24 2007, 08:56 PM' post='743854')

On President Bush and the American people:

"Why did Bush became President? The American people elected him. What does that make the majority of the American people image be?"

(date='Feb 25 2007, 10:29 PM' post='745157')

On running the country:

"Trust me, if I ran the country. All high school drop outs will be put to death. And, you must get PH.Ds in meaningful disciplines or else you'd get kicked out of the country. That's how I want to run the country."

(date='Feb 26 2007, 12:13 AM' post='745291')

On parts of speech:

"Hmmm....Did you realize the instantly is an adjective?"

(date='Feb 26 2007, 08:20 AM' post='745594')

On animal care:

"Residents of the US care more about animals than do humans. Over in another country, it's just the opposite."

(date='Mar 1 2007, 11:45 AM' post='752288')

On having a job:

"You don't necessary have to work if you have a sponser. However, it would be very helpful if you held a job. If you don't currently have a job, then you should probably get one."

(date='Mar 8 2007, 11:47 AM' post='765595')

On filing taxes while living abroad:

"You don't need to file any income tax because you were not part of the US population."

(date='Mar 11 2007, 01:57 AM' post='770498')

On gender roles:

"Yes, time and culture change. Society is a slow changing entity, so it will take a while for women to be more dominant and begin to force their husband into househusband. It's very weird."

(date='Mar 11 2007, 01:07 PM' post='770971')

On spousal abuse:

"Find me official reports that proves to me that husband gets abused by their wife. Find me proof. If I was abused by a girl, I would slap her and walk away."

(date='Mar 13 2007, 09:27 AM' post='774226')

On Karl Marx's theory:

"Pol Pot nearly killed all his people, and Joseph Stalin nearly starved all his people. What's up with that? It's their interpretations of Karl Marx theory, and using it incorrectly!"

(date='Mar 13 2007, 11:45 AM' post='774517')

On crying:

"This visa process isn't worth crying over. I had all honors in high school, and honors in the College of Engineering at the University with a double major in two related disciplines, Electrical and Computer. If this stuff is worth crying, then I would probably die at the college."

(date='Mar 14 2007, 07:00 AM' post='776235')

On writing in block capitals:

"I'm sure the immigration officers knows how to write mailing addresses. So, they can also read mailing addresses. An A is a and a B is a b. There's no difference. The meaning gets across."

(date='Mar 14 2007, 10:59 PM' post='778202')

On setting high standards for yourself:

"Don't be like me, if you can't do it. I am a very high standard person, with high expectations for myself. If you cannot withstand sacrifices like I do, then do whatever you can. I have a PH.D in Engineering, and I know how to take care of my own body since I also have some minor background in genetic engineering in the past. Please, whatever you do...do not try to be like me! :star:"

(date='Mar 15 2007, 11:16 AM' post='778966')

On interracial marriages:

"A long time ago, Disney made a movie called "Cinderella" I think. It has a black queen, a white king, an asian prince. Weird. How can the mating of a black person, and white person produce an asian offspring?"

On public displays of affection:

"I just wanted to vormit when I saw this two male french kissing each other. Ewwww...I went home, and couldn't sleep that night. I looked in the mirror, and asked " What did I saw? ". Seriously, I have nothing against homosexual but please don't show your intimacy in public. I feel like vormiting, and don't even want to touch them. I'm not comfortable with one, not a matter of hating them. I wouldn't throw oranges, knives, insults at them...My vormit just wants to come out."

(date='Mar 15 2007, 04:17 PM' post='779717')

On world peace:

"Do you know why world peace is non-existent? Because we cannot tolerate achieving it due to one simple fact. The negative of people who stand by and watch while other who travel the world, and contribute their talent to help the under developed countries."

(date='Mar 16 2007, 02:31 AM' post='780714')

"I'm glad I get to traveled around the globe instead of being couped up in the US. Ninety-five percent of world's population are outside the United States. We cannot achieve world peace instantaneously, but, what we can do is to spread the words and show people how realistic these occurring events are. I will rent that documentary to see for myself the horrors of human nature. Even if I can't do a single thing to help them, at least I understand their lives."

On driving without insurance:

"In order to renew my registration, I must have an existing policy in place. However, I drove with no insurance for one year. Saved me alot of money! LOL. It's risky, and I wouldn't even suggesting no insurance."

(date='Mar 20 2007, 11:57 AM' post='788687')

"I guess I'm the only fool around here without an insurance provider."

(date='Mar 21 2007, 10:20 PM' post='792617')

"No. Not kidding. Sure, it's the law here. It's a risk. I have never got into an accident before. The year I renew my registration is the year I have insurance."

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
