My mom has her interview for immigrant visa this month. Does she need to bring all her original documents such as birth certificate

File Citizenship {N-400}

Nov-14-2009 Mailed N-400 application

Nov-24-2009 Check cashed

Nov-27-2009 Rec'd NOA in mail, dated 11/23/2009

Jan-04-2010 Rec'd Interview date in mail

Feb-02-2010 Interview date

Apr-21-2010 Oath Ceremony

Timeline

If the origionals were sent to NVC, then the consulate should have them, and then return them to her. Should bring copies of what was sent to NVC.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

she should bring the originals to the interview, they may want to see if it matchs the copies, and to be on the safe side bring the originals in case they are asked for.

if they have the originals, when your finished the interview ask for the originals back, give him the copies, or he can make copies to keep, you are going to need the originals for other forms, in the future,always make copies of all your original documents,

my parents brought nothing to the interview... Except passports, medical report, and interview letter

May 17 2013 - Interview-Approved

July 19 2013 - Enter the USA

Congrats to your mom !! When is her Priority date?

And as far as i know she need to take the photocopies of the original documents ,if its previously sent to nvc And if not tell her to take all the originals .

PD is 12 DEC 2000
